Marine Biology and Ecology
I am a senior double majoring in Marine Science and Biology. I have been in the microbiology lab for three years studying ciliate cultures taken from dying coral environments. Lately, my work has progressed to include DNA sequencing and DNA amplification, to study how certain species of diatoms and ciliates may coexist or harm coral. I plan on attending graduate school on the West Coast to further my work in marine microbiology and will hopefully publish my work by the time I graduate.
