Anthony graduated from the University of Miami with a B.S. in Marine Science and Microbiology & Immunology in 2019. He did his undergraduate senior thesis work under Dr. Traylor-Knowles looking at the compartmentalization of the microbiome in the starlet sea anemone, Nematostella vectensis. He also conducted research looking at the microbiomes of South Florida & Pacific coral reefs as a NOAA Hollings Scholar under Dr. Sinigalliano. Anthony started his PhD in Fall 2019 under the guidance of Dr. Javier del Campo. His main dissertation research is focused on the use of single-cell RNA sequencing and genomics to gain insights into marine holobionts. Anthony has since joined the Coral Reef Futures Lab and is being co-advised by Dr. Baker
